Johnstown Murder Suspect Pleads Guilty

Ebensburg —

David March pleads guilty to the 3rd degree murder of William Stephens. He also pleads guilty to robbery. He's agreed to pay restitution to Stephens family with no agreements for a deal in sentence. Stephens mother asked the court this morning to keep March off the streets in fairness to her son.

After Wednesdays plea hearing Misty Farrior, Stephens girlfriend spoke with Channel 6 News, "If March does get under 60 years, I will be very disappointed. If he gets more than 60 years I will be very pleased. In respect for [William]." Dorian Stephens, Stephens Brother, told Channel 6 News, "I'm not please with it at all. If I can't see my brother for the next 80 to 90 years, he shouldn't be able to see the light of day for the next 80 or 90 years. And until that time comes, I'm not going to be satisfied.

David March will be sentenced in September. The other murder suspect, Clinton Green of Pittsburgh, also plead guilty earlier and will be sentenced later.
