Johnstown School's P.S.S.A. Results

Johnstown —

Barbara Parkins, Johnstown's School Superintendent, says she's not disappointed in the results. She thinks Johnstown did very well. She says students actually increased their scores in a number of areas. However, one school that Parkins does not name decreased in their reading and math scores. But she says they've put new programs at that school to help those areas. The high school also has some work to do.

Barbara Parkins tells Channel 6 News, "We have to work on Math at the high school level. Now next year will be our upcoming 11th grade class. So next year we'll be able to report scores of students that started Algebra in the 8th grade.

Overall Parkins says she thinks everyone's effort at the Johnstown Schools paid off.
