Johnstown Sick Puppy Case Closed

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. —

Back on March 10, WJAC told viewers about a former Johnstown dog owner her said she wanted justice for her sick dog. Now the woman has ended up facing the law herself.

Quenna Curry was found guilty of two citations, failing to get a current dog license and lying about taking the puppy to the veterinarian on one occasion. Magistrate John Barron dismissed other citations because Curry didn't purposely mistreat the puppy. In turn Barron said Curry was just in over her head.

A Richland Township veterinarian testified saying a yorkie puppy requires round the clock care and needs to be fed like an infant.

State Dog Warden Mark Miller feels the outcome of this case is fair. Curry is required to pay a $50 fine and is on 90 days probation.

Tom Dishong of Dishong's Puppies said the puppy was returned and is doing well. The puppy is now lively, and Dishong plans to donate the puppy to a returning injured veteran.
