Judge Rejects Bail Request For State Trooper Accused Of Murder

INDIANA, Pa. —

An Indiana County judge will not let a state trooper post bond to get out of jail.

Trooper Kevin Foley, 42, is charged with killing Dr. John Yelenic. The Blairsville dentist was divorcing his wife who lived with Foley at the time of the killing.

Foley's lawyer wanted the trooper out of jail because he said DNA evidence doesn't completely rule out other suspects. Prosecutors said other evidence points conclusively to Foley.

The slaying of Dr. Yelenic rocked the small town of Blairsville. Stay with Channel 6 News and WJACTV.com for continuing coverage.
