Judge Rejects Plea Agreement For Penn State Student

Sentencing has been delayed for a former Penn State University football player accused of threatening a teammate with a knife.

A Centre County judge on Friday rejected a plea agreement for Chris Bell that would have kept Bell out of jail.

Earlier this year, Bell was accused of pulling a knife on another teammate in a campus dining hall while arguing over a cell phone.

Bell's attorney said he is still confident the proposed plea agreement will eventually be approved.

Shortly after his arrest, Bell was dismissed from the Penn State football team.
