Jury Finds Huntingdon County Mother Guilty Of Changing Daughter's Grades

A jury found a Huntingdon County mother guilty on all 58 counts for changing her daughter 's grades Thursday.

It only took jury members an hour and 10 minutes to come back with their verdict.

Caroline McNeal, 39, is now out on bail for changing her daughter 's grades while she was a secretary at the high school between May of 2006 and July of 2007.

She claimed she wanted to boost her daughter's class rankings.

Ken Brown, senior deputy attorney general for the state's attorney general office, claimed McNeal changed her daughter's grades 193 times.

The jury found her guilty for 29 counts of unlawful use of a computer and 29 counts of tampering with public records, which are third-degree felonies.

School administrators gave WJACTV.com a joint statement, "It is what it is. We're glad it's over. Now we can go on with the school year."

McNeal's sentencing will take place within the next three months.

She could receive between three months to seven years per citation.
