SHIPPEN TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
A Cameron County kennel owner was seriously injured early Thursday when she tried to stop a robbery in progress.
Pennsylvania State Police said a man was removing cash from a register at Krazy-A-Dog Kennel in Shippen Township just after 6:30 a.m.
Kennel owner Betty Allen, 62, tried to stop the thief, but Allen was assaulted and injured, police said.
The robber remained at large as of noon Thursday. Anyone with information is asked to call state police.
