BROOKVILLE, Pa. —
Students in Jefferson County laced up their sneakers Wednesday morning and walked to school.
Brookville Area School District took part in National Walk to School Day.
Kids walked to school in an effort to promote physical fitness and living a healthy lifestyle.
Linda Barnes and Sarah Haines of the Brookville Area School District organized the event.
Kids said they enjoyed being able to walk to school with their friends.
The school district hopes to continue this event every year.
