The latest on the lawsuit and preparations for Sandusky's trial

By Melanie Gillespie

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. —

In the exclusive interview with 6News, Jerry Sandusky’s lawyer admits they’ve been in contact with nearly half of the victims listed in the Grand Jury report.

Startling news for those who are watching this case closely, but on Wednesday the first lawsuit was filed against Sandusky in Philadelphia. The alleged victim is not even mentioned in the Grand Jury report.

Sandusky is maintaining his innocence, but now, the lawsuit filed by an anonymous John Doe comes just weeks away from his preliminary hearing.

Joseph Amendola claims Mike McQueary’s eye witness account is false. He said that the victim McQueary confessed about denies any sexual interaction with Sandusky.

"[But] he also was very clear, and he said, nothing sexual between him and jerry occurred that night or any other time, and went onto say that jerry was a key part of his extended family," Joseph Amendola said.

Amendola believes that’s why the victim is asking for his identity to be sealed.

There’s another identity not known; the 29-year-old John Doe that slapped Sandusky with the first lawsuit.

The alleged victim’s lawyer spoke in a press conference Wednesday, "break the silence, share the secret, and take action. You can know that other kids can be protected the way you want, and that's why this John Doe did this thing today," Jeff Anderson said.

Amendola said he doesn’t know much about the case.

Sandusky is maintaining his innocence, and his lawyer says it all comes to down to one thing.

"How do you prove your innocence if you say you're not guilty? You listen to testimony, and you get to ask the people who testify answer your questions and see if what they're saying reigns true, and if there's any falseness to their testimony and the only way to do that is to actually have the hearing," Amendola said.

Amednola said they are ready for the December 13th hearing and do not expect any more charges to be filed.
