Letter Postmarked In Johnstown Threatens Pastor

A radical Christian pastor from Florida wants to burn a copy of the Koran, Muslims' most holy book, on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Many people are not pleased about his protest and a letter postmarked in Johnstown was sent to a Gainesville newspaper threatening to kill him.

The letter was written to Terry Jones the pastor of the Dove World Outreach Center.

It was sent to the Gainesville Sun, addressed to the editor in broken English with spelling and grammatical errors. It states "A Team of Three ia on way to Gainesville armed with automatic weapons and explosives to KillTerry Jones and burn him Alive and destroy his wicked church. You burn Quran and with Allahs help we Shall Burn him and his church."

WJAC asked the Johnstown postmaster to see where the letter might have come from. The Johnstown post office gathers and distributes mail from several zip codes. He said any zip code that starts with following numbers are postmarked in Johnstown: 155, 157, 158 and 159. The letter could have come from any of these areas.
