Local Police Could Be Given Radar Guns

If you've gotten a speeding ticket from a local police officer - chances are, it wasn't because of a radar gun.

But Pennsylvania lawmakers could soon change that. Right now, only State Police Troopers are allowed to use radar guns to clock speeders. But after years of working out the bugs, a bill could soon be coming up for a vote. One of the biggest concerns had been that local police departments would try to use radar guns to pull more drivers over in an effort to increase their piggy banks.
