Local Woman Convicted Of Vehicular Homicide

BEDFORD COUNTY —

An Alum Bank woman has been convicted of vehicular homicide while driving under the influence after her sport utility vehicle went airborne and crashed into a man's garage, killing him and leaving his grandson brain damaged.

A jury found 40-year-old Kandy Rhodes guilty of several charges associated with the September 9th, 2004, accident in Kimmel Township, Bedford County.

She will be sentenced March 8th, facing a mandatory three years in prison.
