Businessman Announces Bid For Senate

A Western Pennsylvania businessman who was twice unsuccessful in his attempt to succeed John Murtha in Congress is now turning his attention to the U.S. Senate.

Republican Tim Burns announced he's seeking the Republican nomination next year for the seat now held by Democrat Robert Casey Jr.

Burns lost both a special election and the general election of Murtha's 12th district seat to Democrat Mark Critz in 2010.

Murtha died during his term in office in February 2010.
