The Route 56 bypass project starts today. PennDot has this detour set up to keep traffic moving in a big loop. If you're heading to Route 219 south from Johnstown, you'll get off at the Scalp Avenue exit. If you're heading back into the city off of Route 219, you'll take the yellow route.
