By WJAC Web Staff

SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. —

A man is facing aggravated assault charges, accused of attacking his brother with a rubber hammer during an argument at a Somerset business.

Police say the incident happened Tuesday morning at Laurel Metal Works as the victim, Randall Dean Persuhn, 60, of Central City, was arguing with his brother's wife about a time card.

Police said the suspect, Edward James Persuhn Jr, 46, of Rockwood, couldn't get his brother to calm down and struck him in the back of the head with the hard rubber hammer.

Randall Persuhn was taken to Somerset Hospital for treatment after he told police he nearly lost consciousness. A police report said he had a billiard ball-sized lump on his head.

Edward Persuhn is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.
