The accident happened at the Chemistry Building just after 1 a.m.
Police said when they got onto the scene that Keith Kripp had already driven away.
They later found Kripp less than a mile away.
When he was pulled over, police tested his blood alcohol content and it was above the legal limit.
Kripp is facing several charges and he was taken to the Centre County jail. He was released Sunday after posting bail.
