TYRONE, Pa. —

A man has been jailed in Blair County after being ordered to stand trial on his ninth drunken-driving arrest, because prosecutors say the man has seven aliases -- with seven different birth dates -- and two Social Security numbers that he's used after his arrests in several other states.

Yevgeniy Yefraimov, 28, of Tyrone, waived his preliminary hearing Tuesday on a charge of driving with a blood-alcohol content more than twice the state's legal limit on Thursday.

Blair County prosecutors persuaded a district judge in Tyrone to jail Yefraimov because of his arrest record in at least 10 states -- including eight prior drunken driving cases -- and his allegedly prolific use of aliases.

Yefraimov remained jailed Wednesday, unable to post $35,000 bond.
