Sean Louis Allen, 21, of Hollidaysburg, killed Margo "Maggie" Davis in March 2009. After the verdict was read on Thursday, family and friends of Davis hugged and cried in the hallway of the Blair County Courthouse.

"Justice was served, but it won't bring my sister or her daughter back," said Davis' sister as she left the courthouse.

It has been a long year for the Davis family. When Davis didn't come home last March, they called police.

Prosecutors say Allen lured Davis to his Hollidaysburg home then sexually assaulted her before beating and strangling her.

Allen's attorneys countered that Davis was the aggressor, becoming angry when Allen had no drugs to sell her.

Davis' body was discovered in the trunk of her car when it was impounded from a parking lot a day after she died.

Allen was found not guilty of third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter. Allen's attorneys said they will ask for the verdicts to be dismissed, calling them inconsistent.
