Stanley Carter, 21, was discovered Friday in the duplex near Wilkes-Barre. The family said they noticed items missing from their house, then fount footprints in a closet leading to the attic door.
Police said Carter was staying with the neighbors next door and moved into the home’s shared attic when he was asked to leave.
Carter had apparently been stealing food from the kitchen and kept warn by wrapping himself in insulation.
Police said he had several of the family’s missing items, such as a laptop computer an iPod.
