Altoona Police were called to the scene of a bizarre shooting Sunday afternoon. The dispute broke out between two elderly neighbors when one neighbor thought the other one was poisoning his flowers.

Bud Claar, 5023 Broad Avenue, was shot in the arm after his neighbor Tom Node was convinced the man was poisoning his flowers. Neighbors say the saw Mr. Node running from the victims house shortly after the gunshot rang out. Although the gunshot was not fatal, Mr. Claar does have a heart condition.

Both men are reported to be in their late seventies and have been fighting for about fifteen years. Now, neither man will be able to tend to the flowers they both care so much about.
