Breaking News out of Westmoreland County as police hunt for a suspect after stealing a police car and injuring an officer. The incident is still under investigation, but late Saturday night a man was hand-cuffed and taken into custody along Route 711 by Laurel Valley High School. Channel 6 News has also learned that a police officer was inured and taken to the hospital, but the extent of his injuries are unknown. Initial reports were that the suspect had stolen a New Florence police car and that an officer was down. Police remained on the scene long after the arrest investigating what happened and talking to witnesses.
