Mining Company Will Keep Coal Museum Open

A Somerset County mining company has come to the rescue of the Windber Coal Heritage Center.

Rosebud Mining Co. said Monday it completed a $250,000 purchase of the Center Building. That will allow the museum to remain open and operating.

While Rosebud will make use of the empty space on the third floor, the coal enter was slated for closing.
