Movie-Goers Catch New Releases At Local Theaters

It's a big day at the box office this Christmas.

Five highly anticipated movies movies are being released at local theaters.

Some people told WJACTV.com it's a family tradition to see movies on Christmas day.

"Pretty much a little tradition we have, every holiday," Matt Otis said. "My brother and I, we'll go over and see a move in Altoona."

Others say it's a way to pass time since many places close on the holiday.

"We already had Christmas this morning with our grandchildren, and we're all getting together for dinner, so we thought we'd take a few hours off and relax," said Peter Williams.

"Just something to do. I'm by myself," Harry Rinard said. "Just wanted something to do this afternoon."
