Murder Victims

Raymond and Marjorie Bracken were found murdered inside their Spruce Avenue home in Altoona, in March of 2002. Since that time, their alleged murderer, William Thompson, has been in the media spotlight. Mainly because of his mistrial, numerous delays in the case, but regardless of the reason, he is usually the focus of news reports. One neighbor tells us the fact that the Brackens are the real victims is sometimes forgotten. But the Brackens' old neighborhood will never forget, Margaret Smith says the neighborhood now lives in fear, with their doors locked at all times. As everyday life continues on Spruce Avenue, the Bracken house has since been sold. But one neighbor has set up a make shift memorial so that their neighbors, their old friends, the Brackens, are never forgotten.
