Flowers now adorn a window at Juniata Valley Church. A window that was shattered by bullet holes just yesterday. It’s the place where police say 44-year-old Jeffrey Lee Michael of Hollidaysburg murdered his first victim—58-year-old Kimberly Scott of Duncansville.
Joan Soyster says, "It’s just tragic. No matter what time of year it happens, but especially this time of year."
Police say after Michael left Juniata Valley Church, he shot and killed his next victim—60-year-old Ken Lynn of Hollidaysburg. Lynn was murdered in his own driveway. Michael then took off in his vehicle down Juniata Valley Road. He purposely slammed into a car driven by 38-year-old William Rhodes of Hollidaysburg. Michael then shot Rhodes.
On his way from the crash site, Michael ran into a state police vehicle. He open fired, injuring three troopers. The troopers then shot and killed Michael.
Three innocent lives taken, another three put in harm's way...all in this quiet Blair County Community, exactly one week after a similar tragedy in Connecticut.
Soyster adds, "I think it’s horrible, along with everything else that’s been going on."
