Somerset County —
A Hooversville neighborhood dispute boiled over in Tuesday's Borough Council meeting. Now, residents want something done about the problem. Neighbors say they have evidence of damage to one home that now has cameras attached to it. The police chief and neighbors suspect different families are vandalizing and damaging, even egging, homes and property around the neighborhood.
Hooversville Police Chief Timothy Kusmiak said, "Trying to keep their kids in line and they can't do it, then someone's going to have to do it. So that's what I'm here for, that's what I'm paid to do. If I have to sit on that street, I will sit on that street."
The Chief said he needs the neighbors help. "If they see vandalism going on, call the police about it. When the suspects are caught they'll be cited for disorderly conduct," Kusmiak said.
