New Identity Theft Scam Investigated By FBI

Tied In With Jury Duty Summons

Court officials stress if you're notified about serving for jury duty, you don't have to provide personal information. The scam involves a phone call, or e-mail, saying you've been selected for jury duty, and then asks for your Social Security number, and other information that can be used to access financial accounts. In most counties, jury duty notification is done through postal mail-not phone calls, or e-mail.
