New Jobs Coming To Cambria County

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. —

Lockheed Martin has been a staple of Richland Township for more than 20 years. It's brought jobs and money into the region and now more are on the way.

The company is moving it's global supply chain across the way from the current plant in the Township's Industrial Park.

Lockheed is looking to house 135 employees in the next three years. However, many of those jobs are already taken by current employees who are making the move from South Carolina to the Johnstown area. Officials said not everyone will be willing to leave the state, so that opens up employment opportunities for people in the Alleghenies.

The average salary for the jobs is about $60,000 a year.

The company will begin moving in September and be fully operational by the end of November.
