New Movie Sales Out Before Opening Night

This year lent coincides with the opening of one of the most controversial films in recent years. After weeks of discussion about the graphic nature of its depiction of Christ's crucifixion, Mel Gibson's "The Passion Of The Christ" opens in theaters today. 400 tickets were sold within the 1st 20 minutes when Richland Cinemas opened at 9 o'clock this morning. People were grouped together and lined up outside the door waiting to get their tickets for this movie. The theater is only selling 250 tickets for each show so they can make sure everyone who comes can sit together. There are 4 showings a day at Richland.
