New Proposal For Johnstown

Johnstown —

The proposal involves putting an upscale coffeehouse and loft apartments in a vacant building along Clinton Street. The building sits next to the Clinton Street Pizza and 6 Pack. It was recently used as storage. But now a Florida developer, originally from Johnstown, wants it for a coffeehouse and apartments. City officials think the plans are a good idea, falling in line with their vision for the city. Channel 6 News talked with those who work nearby to see if they agree.

Donnie Rozier is the owner of the Clinton Street Pizza and 6 Pack. He tells Channel 6 News, I think it would be good for business. Also be convenient for some of the people to have places to live downtown.

David Jurcic is the owner at Mr. Simon's Barber Shop. He says, I think it will be good, if it works. I just don't know if Johnstown's ready for an upscale coffee shop.
