New Rating System Grades Child Safety Seats

On Wednesday, the government rolled out a new tool to help parents pick out the right car seat to keep their children safe.

Government reports show seven out of 10 car seats are the wrong size for the child or are seriously misused.

In response, the U.S. transportation secretary has a new five-star rating system grading car seats on how easy they are to use. The seats are awarded an overall star rating as well as individual star ratings in four categories:

--Securing the child --Vehicle installation features --Labeling --Instructions
