A new website now allows people to better track the progress of Marcellus shale drilling.
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection launched the website two weeks ago, and it makes it easier for people to access permit records, drilling dates, inspections and other information.
For the first time, the database will release details for every inspection, not just those that uncover a violation at a well site.
