A New York City man is accused of assaulting an area police officer during a weekend incident. State College police were called to a downtown fight early Saturday morning. They found Luis Rodriguez outside of a bar. When they tried to arrest Rodriguez, they say he hit one of the officers and continued to fight. Rodriguez is due in court this week for a hearing on several charges - including aggravated assault.
