Numerous Crashes Blamed On Weather

A number of minor weather-related crashes were reported Wednesday morning.

A plow truck, meant to clear roads and pull vehicles from ditches, slid off the road and into a house, striking a parked car before coming to a stop on Everhart Road in Johnstown.

In Somerset County, slick roads caused a crash on Route 56 just outside of Windber. The car ended up on its roof and at least one person was taken to the hospital.

In Indiana County, hazmat crews were called out to a crash on Route 119. Slick conditions there caused a tractor trailer to jackknife and spill diesel fuel near the village of Covode. The driver was not injured.
