One Day After Palin, Bill Clinton To Visit Penn State

Former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to appear at Penn State's rec hall Wednesday night, one day after Republican vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin visited there.

On her second stop in the Alleghenies, Palin rallied supporters and tried to sway those who were still undecided.

"Here at Penn State, you know the value of a seasoned leader with experience and with guts because last weekend when the Lions were down, the game was on the line, Coach (Joe) Paterno knew how to lead your team to a comeback win -- and that's exactly what we need you to help us do on Election Day," Palin said.

"As vice president, I get to do so much more for our families and I want to make sure that our children and all of our families in the U.S. understand they will have a friend and an advocate in the White House."

A new Associated Press poll shows Barack Obama with a double-digit lead in the Keystone State.

"I'm really afraid of the Democrats taking control of the House and the Senate. It just scares me to death," said Bill Taafe, of Blair County.

Wednesday, doors at the rec hall opened at 2 p.m. and Clinton is expected to take the stage anywhere between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
