ALTOONA, Pa. —
A Blair County restaurant was destroyed by fire early Tuesday.
The fire broke out at the Altoona Hotel in the 3800 block of Fifth Avenue around 2 a.m.
WRTA Radio reported that firefighters found the building engulfed in flames when they arrived, which prevented them from entering the building to fight the fire.
Fire crews also said near-zero temperatures hindered their efforts to put the flames out.
The cause of the fire was not known as of noon Tuesday.
