SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. —

The police chief in Paint Township, Somerset County, said his department has enough funding to keep operating through the end of the year.

Wednesday's Somerset Daily American reported that a combination of an interim loan and cash advances from the five other boroughs it serves will allow it to get by through 2012.

In addition, township supervisors have informed Windber Borough that it doesn't have to make any more advances.

The township is still waiting to hear form Summit Bank about its request for a $300,000 loan.
