At a hearing on Tuesday, Judge Brad Lundsford ordered that Scott Paxson's trial be continued, meaning it will not begin as scheduled next month.
The judge also placed a gag order on all parties involved in the case. However, he refused to rule on a defense motion requesting either an out-of-county jury hear the case or that the trial be moved to another county because of publicity.
