Penn State Cracking Down On Drinking During Football Games

Centre County —

Penn State University is cracking down on drinking outside of Beaver Stadium during football games. Violators could face a hefty fine for breaking a new rule on drinking alcohol. Starting this weekend people who are tailgating in the parking lots outside the stadium will not be able to drink during the game. The university announced the policy last month to crack down on rowdy parties, vandalism and other unruly behavior. Since then police have been only warning violators, but they may start ticketing violators when the Nittany Lions take on the Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday. Anyone who breaks the rule could be fined up to $300.
