When the bell sounded to open trading on the New York stock exchange this morning, some officials from Penn State University were there to lend a hand. University president Graham Spanier and members of the Penn State board of trustees joined stock exchange officials to ring the opening bell. The trustees are holding their meeting in New York this week to signifying the university's national and international presence. It's one of the few times in history that a trustees meeting has been held off campus.
