The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation delayed the opening of the final section of Interstate 99.

PennDOT officials said Friday that all northbound lanes and some southbound lanes will open to traffic between Dec. 12 and 19.

Earlier, PennDOT projected a Dec. 4 reopening.

The department further said the two northbound lanes will narrow to one near Skytop, and southbound lanes in the Skytop area will remain closed to daily traffic.
