PennDot Takes The Heat After Fatal Car Accident

Somerset County —

A day after a Somerset County teen was charged for an accident that killed his friend and passenger, there's growing concern about the how safe the road is. Some are pointing the finger at PennDot to do something about the Brothersvalley Township Road where teens have been known to speed trying to go airborne.

PennDot officials say they're willing to come out to conduct a road study, but they have to wait until they get the okay from Brothersvalley Township. Township officials say PennDot doesn't need to hear from them.

PennDot officials say they typically survey roads when there's a request or a new project and unless State and Federal laws change, they will not volunteer to study any road.
