Pilot's Remains Returned To Hometown

By WJAC Web Staff

More than 40 years after his death in Vietnam, the remains of a U.S. Air Force captain are being returned to his hometown in Cameron County.

Patriot Guard riders will accompany the remains of Capt. Thomas Clark who was shot down during a mission in Vietnam in 1969.

His body was not found during the war, but in 2009 human remains were recovered that forensic experts were able to positively identify as Clark.

A public visitation will be held Friday at Cameron County High School from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

On Saturday, a burial mass will be celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church in Emporium.
