Playground Vandals Strike Again

NORTHERN CAMBRIA, Pa. —

Staff at the Head Start Program in Cambria County said the grant-purchased playground equipment was nearly ruined twice.

The maintenance director at the program said their $40,000 playground equipment was torn apart and painted on twice during the past two months.

The most recent vandalism comes three months after a fire caused by lightning nearly destroyed classrooms for the program.

The students are learning in temporary classrooms outside the building, right near the playground equipment.

The staff wants the vandalism to stop, especially considering how much the students have had to deal with over the past several months.

Block grants and the Ronald McDonald Program helped pay for the equipment.

Police are also investigating the case.
