Poker Tournament Lands Westmoreland County Fire Dept. In Hot Water

A Westmorland County volunteer fire company is in trouble with the state for fundraising projects the attorney general's office says were illegal.

The office is seeking more than $40,000 from the Seward Volunteer Company, which is the amount taken in by the department from a series of Texas Hold 'Em poker tournaments.

A senior official with the attorney general's office said the games are illegal gambling and it is unlawful to profit from them.
