Police: Another Arson in Bellefonte

By Gary Sinderson

BELLEFONTE, Pa

In Bellefonte, alarms once again raised about new arson cases over the weekend after several vehicles and a garage are torched. Police quickly determined the fires were arsons.

Mark Maggs showing us his burned out Kia station wagon. Sunday morning, his daughter woke him up to tell him their car was on fire. But across the street, on East Cherry Lane, another blaze had torched not only another vehicle, but also a garage. We’re told the homeowner was inside the nearby house when the fire broke out, but he got out okay, and reportedly the arsonist left some clues behind

Maggs says, “The police say he did a sloppy job, and left some clues.”

Except to say their investigation is continuing, police saying very little else about the case. But after devastating fires earlier this year in Bellefonte that were deliberately set, any talk of arson here raises additional alarms.
