BELLEFONTE, Pa. —
According to court documents, officers said 44-year-old Darl Hoffman raped the girl, then 11 years old, inside his East High Street home four times when no one else was home.
Following one sexual assault, officials said Hoffman threw a jewelry box at the victim's face.
During the now 15-year-old's testimony in court on Wednesday afternoon, a defense lawyer asked to see the scar on the girl’s forehead, covered by her hair.
Hoffman said he had no comment on the allegations when he left the courtroom with his family.
Court officials said Hoffman is expected back in court in September.
