Police: Blairsville man facing statutory sexual assault charges

INDIANA COUNTY, Pa. —

A Blairsville man is behind bars tonight after police said he tried to meet a girl, 15, at an Indiana County Wal-Mart.


Police said Woodrow Hicks, 43, is facing attempted statutory sexual assault and a number of other charges.

Police said Hicks texted the girl to meet him at Wal-Mart in White Township for a sexual encounter.

When troopers showed up he tried to run.

Hicks was arraigned and placed in jail.
