Police Find Meth Lab In Blair Co. Garage; Suspect At Large

ROARING SPRING, Pa. —

Police in Blair County are searching for a man suspected of running a methamphetamine manufacturing operation in Roaring Spring.

Investigators said they are searching for Jayme Walter.

Police said they received a call Saturday night about suspicious activity on Locust Street, but before police arrived they said Walter fled into woods.

Soon after, police found a homemade meth lab in Walter's garage. Officers also found tools that are commonly used for making meth and noticed ammonia smell, which coincides with meth manufacturing.

On Sunday, a lab team investigated and determined meth was recently made in the garage. Police said there is enough evidence to file charges and they have an arrest warrant for Walter.

Police said Walter was arrested in 2008 for making meth in his car. Anyone with information on Walter's whereabouts is asked to call Roaring Spring police at 224-5382.
