Police Force Cut In Half

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. —

Budget concerns are impacting a small Cambria County community.

Summerhill is cutting back the hours of its police officers because it does not have the money to pay for them.

Two part-time officers have been taken off the schedule leaving two full-time officers.

Supervisors told WJAC the cutbacks will help them pay for some much needed road repair projects.

Council took over police scheduling as of June 20.
